[REVIEW] JUJU Aquamoist Cleansing Oil + Swatches ♥

Hi Everyone!

Today's post is going to be about my first cleansing oil that I've tried :)
Over the past years, when it comes to removing makeup, I've only ever relied on make up wipes by Johnson & Johnson because they're cheap, easy to use and quick at getting rid of both eye makeup and face makeup. However, lately it seems that everyone has been going into the trend of using cleansing oil and talking about how amazing it is! Many beauty guru's rave about how great the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil is and I really wanted to try it but it was a bit on the pricey side, so I turned to the cheaper alternative of the Juju Aquamoist Cleansing oil instead from Sasa, which you can get here.

As you can tell in the picture, its in a clear packaging with their usual labels on the front and
back. It was wrapped very nicely and the first thing I noticed was that the consistency of the cleansing oil was very runny like and it had a yellowy colour to it like canola or olive oil.

Again, it has all the instructions on the back and manufacturing date, however half of these were written in Chinese which I couldn't even read which was a bit sucky :( It contains 150mL of product but the bottle looked really small for some reason. But once I started using it, it realised that a little bit of product went a long way!

Here are the swatches:

I decided to test the product out on my hands before I applied this to my face! I started off with a lip balm, a concealer and two of my trusty liquid liners which were waterproof and smudge proof (a review coming up! ^_^ )

When I first pumped it out, it was extremely runny! I applied it to my arm and right away it slid right off an into the basin wasting a lot of product! I kind of felt like olive oil but a lot more runny! The smell of the cleansing oil was kind of fruity, like passion fruits and grapefruits. People who don't enjoy cleansing oil scents might not like this but to me, I think it actually smells really nice and makes me enjoy removing my makeup everyday :)

This is what it looks like with one pump of cleansing oil evenly distributed all over the arm. As I said before, you can see that a little goes a really long way if it doesn't spill everywhere that is! :P

The cleansing oil applies very smoothly and it just needs to be rubbed a few times before you can tell that its ready to be rinsed off! Applying a bit of water makes the process a bit easier, in my opinion. Also, I don't know if its just that I have a lot of dead skin on my arm, but I feel as if this cleansing oil helps me exfoliate the dead skin bits off my arm and on a daily basis when I have dry spots on my cheeks, after I use the cleansing oil, bits of dead skin comes off when I wash my face. I don't know if its just me, but I love this because its a non harsh way of exfoliation!!

Because I used eyeliner as a tester on my arm, you can see that after the cleansing oil had been applied everything just turned black. But usually, when you only wash foundation or bb cream off your face the cleansing oil goes from the clear yellowy colour into a creamy white colour.

After rinsing off with water, my skin is seriously squeaky clean and so refreshed!! I usually do this before I shower, so I usually cleanse my face again with my cetaphil cleanser, but really, I don't think you need to because this Juju Aquamoist Cleansing Oil really does the job of removing makeup whilst cleansing the face as well! It's like 2 in 1 product! :)

The Verdict ♥

Performance: ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  / 5

I can't compare this cleansing oil to the other cleansing oils out in the market because this is the first one I've tried, however compared to one of the cleansing creams by Ponds, this stuff is so much better and does such a more amazing job. It feels like oil but after you wash it off, there are no signs of oiliness on the skin and doesn't cause me to break out!

Price: ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  / 5

I have to say this is one of the most cheapest cleansing oil in Sasa and extremely cheap compared to the high end brands like Shu uemura and DHC. From Sasa, this only costed me like $11 AUD which is very cheap for 150mL of product. I've been using it for around 2 months everyday and I'm less than one quarter into the bottle. It lasts forever.

Even though it contains 150mL of product, the packaging of the cleansing oil is pretty small which is very convenient for travelling and just for everyday storage!

Overall: ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  ♥  / 5
Love it! Will definitely repurchase again! :)
However, I will definitely try other brands as well to see how they compare,  such as the Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil, which I've heard, does a fairly good job at cleansing as well!!

Hope you all enjoyed this post!
