[Trip to Hong Kong] Huge Cosmetics Haul ♥

Heyy everyone ^_^

Firstly, I want to say Happy Belated New Year hehe, I know i'm nearly a month late but I was actually on holidays over in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, which explains why I've been MIA! I hope everyone's been well and I've actually been missing blogging a lot, so hopefully i can make up for the posts which I've missed out on in the past 4 weeks!

I spent a month in Hong Kong and i mostly bought Korean cosmetics and skin care products rather than high end because it's harder to find Korean cosmetics in Australia. There are many shops which i went to, to find these products including Sasa, Colourmix and Bonjour. I won't talk too much about where I purchased all this makeup because i have a separate post coming up which will cover that, so stay tuned! And without further ado, let's get on and see what i bought!!

Disclaimer: I'm in no way trying to brag about the things i bought during my trip to Hong Kong. It is really hard to find Korean Cosmetics in Australia and even if you can, its really expensive, which is why i hauled so much! If this offends you, feel free to click out of my blog now~

Face Products ♥

Whenever I go to Hong Kong, I like to see what new products Maybelline have, because the range that they have in Australia is totally different from the ones in Hong Kong. It's like how they sell the Fit Me shine free foundation stick in the US and other parts of the world whilst Australia doesn't sell it. I have acne prone oily skin, but it gets really dry during the winter, especially in combination with my acne medication so the BB cream really stood out to me. Both BB creams promised moist and hydrated skin after application so i couldn't help but purchase both of them to wear in Winter because I knew I'd never be able to find them in Australia. Both of them together costed 156 HKD after 25% off :)
I also bought the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser because I'm scared that my Etude House Goodbye Pore ever will run out so this is my back up! Hopefully it'll work just as well as Etude House.

I'm starting to buy primers now because I've just come to realise how important it is in the makeup routine, especially if you have really oily skin as good primers can help control the foundation from slipping and sliding off by the end of the day. After reading many reviews online, I really wanted to try the Banila Co primer because i've heard so many good things about them. It is definitely on the pricey side however if it turns out good, it'll all be worth it, if you know what i mean ;)

I'm a total BB cream fanatic and i like to haul a whole lot of BB creams to try out because I believe that no makeup look is complete without a flawless canvas (unless you're one of the lucky people who have absolutely flawless skin - i envy you >_< )
Lioele Triple Solution BB cream holds many good reviews and I couldn't help but try it! Colourmix was having a promotion going on, so it only costed 192HKD for the two.
As for the Skin79 BB cream, i purchased that for a friend, because Skin79 has been raved about since forever and their BB creams are known for being one of the best in the market, so hope it works well on my friend ^_^

This BB compact was the result of me being a sucker for cute packaging. I was only meant to go into etude house to buy a few things but when this cute compact caught my eye, I couldn't help but add it to my basket :') I don't usually use powders much because they tend to dry out my skin and make me flakey but i'll see how this one goes ^_^

Lip Products ♥

I bought these lip tints after hearing Bubzbeauty rave about how amazing these were in her monthly favourite videos. They again have amazingly cute packaging so I could not resist but buy them ;P Originally i only intended to buy 2 colours but later went back for another two haha~

Eye Products ♥

You guys know how I raved about how great the Missha eyeliner was right? Well, in Hong Kong, I went into so many Missha Shops and I couldn't find it anywhere! It's an eyeliner that i basically can only find online which really sucked because i wanted to stock up big time on that one. So instead I chose the Missha Black Art liner & Etude House 'Oh m'eye line' instead and grabbed a tear eye liner as well.

Being Asian means that I have really tiny lashes so I'm hoping that this Etude House Dr Lash Ampule can help boost the growth of them!

This is the only mascara that I bought in Hong Kong and you guys probably know that it's the fairy drops mascara. I've always had a problem with mascaras smudging on my eyes no matter what brand i buy so after reading a few reviews on this, i decided to buy it since it was on special at Sasa at the time :) I also bought a set of fake lashes. I don't usually wear fake lashes, especially not these dramatic kinds, but i thought that because formal is coming up this year, i might as well start stocking up on different types of lashes so I have a variety to choose from to see which one suits the make up look that I'm going to wear on that night!

Hand Products ♥

These two aren't makeup related but they're both Etude House Hand Creams. This is the first time I've bought Etude House hand creams before, usually i stick with my neutrogena moisturiser because its done the job for several years. However, whilst I was buying stuff in the Etude House store, my mum picked up the 'Dont Worry' hand cream and tried it and it smelt so amazing I had to buy it straight away. So, i'm not that great at describing scents but according to the website, its a 'Powder Citrus Floral scent'. Basically its just amazing and you all have to go and smell it hahah ;P

The other hand cream is just another hand cream that I picked up because the packaging was adorable :P Apparently it smells like roses, I have to open it and smell for myself ^_^

Here's two products that should've been placed up there ^ because it belongs to the face section, but because these are high end products I decided to place them down here. My sister actually bought the M.A.C foundation for me when we were in Malaysia and I was so soo happy because it was my first time using MAC. I've used drug store foundations all my life so i was super excited to try high end products for once!!

I think I mentioned in my 'Whats in my travel bag' post that I don't like to wear blush, but I've always wanted to try Benefits Box powders. I walked into Benefit intending to buy the Hoola bronzer but the sales lady told me to go for coralista instead. I'm super duper in love with the packaging and omg it smells amazing. Enough said haha :P

Skin Care Products ♥

Is it just me or are big pores really annoying!? This product promises that it's a 7 in 1 treatment for the pores and I know that Etude House are really famous for their Wonder Pore products so this corrector was definitely going into my basket. I've tried it a few times and I have to say that it's working pretty well so I'm quite glad that I bought it! Originally I wanted to buy the Wonder Pore Toner however because it was too heavy to bring back, this one had to do because it was much smaller and lighter ^_^

Masks, masks and more masks hehe! I've been using innisfree masks since forever so I had to restock on a pack when i went back especially since they were having a sale! A pack of 10 costed me 100 HKD, it was a pretty good deal!!

After watching Saaamage on youtube, i heard that the Leaders insolution masks were really good for people with acne prone skin and scars so i bought three to try out and see if they perform miracles on my skin hahaha~~ I bought two acne treatment masks and a whitening mask. Hopefully they work well, would you like a review on them?!

I also bought a box of My beauty diary sheet masks which you can see in the first picture but I forgot to take a close up shot of it so sorry! The ones i bought were the whitening ones too because i'm in the process of trying to find products that can help fade my acne scars >~< Any suggestions? ♥

Lastly, at the airport I bought this book which i like to call the 'Beauty Bible'. It's a whole book of tutorials on how to recreate different celebrity looks and it features people like Sunny from Girls Generation. I mean that's pretty cool right? Comment if you'd like me to do some scanning of different looks from the book :)

And that concludes the Haul. This is probably the first time i've ever hauled so much at once haha and this is only the stuff that i bought in Hong Kong. I also bought a couple of things in Malaysia's Sephora, would you like to see a post on that? It features the Naked 3 Palette ;)

Also, i didn't take photos of some products that I bought because I forgot to do so, but if you were wondering some of these products include:

  • Innisfree neon pot rouge #3
  • Etude House Cotton Fit BB cream in Honey
  • Juju Aquamoist whitening essence
  • Etude House Collagen trial kit
  • And other small samples
Hope you all enjoyed looking through my haul.
Please comment below if you'd like to see some of the fashion items that I purchased in Hong Kong or if you'd like to see reviews on certain products!

Thanks for reading as always,
